Step 1:
Assess the Damage
Flood damage isn’t always visible to the naked eye, so the first step is thorough. We inspect your home from top to bottom, checking for waterlogged areas and hidden moisture behind walls. This ensures that we don’t miss any spots that could lead to mold growth or structural issues down the road.
Step 2:
Create a “Flood Cut Line”
Once we know where the damage lies, we mark the areas that need to be cut out. This “cut line” is where we’ll remove soaked materials, usually about two feet above the highest water damage point. It’s not just about getting rid of the damaged part; it’s about protecting your home from future problems.
Step 3:
Remove Damaged Materials
Here’s where we get hands-on. We carefully cut out and remove drywall, insulation, and other materials that have been compromised by floodwaters. Our goal is to leave your home clean, safe, and ready for the next step in recovery.
Step 4:
Prepare for Restoration
With the damaged areas removed, we take the extra step to spray the exposed surfaces with antimicrobial treatments to keep mold at bay. Then, we dry out the space completely and ensure everything is prepped for repairs. By the time we’re done, your home will be on its way to feeling like home again, safe and sound.
